2 questions:

1.  My breadcrumbs display "Blog" as the top level.  I would rather it say "Home"

 

2.  When I click on the top level breadcrumb "Blog" I go to a "Not Found" page displaying the text "Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here."  Instead I would like it to go to my home page.

 

How do I fix these two issues?

I think I answered my questions.  I didn't have "Site Title" in the General Settings for WordPress set.  I changed to be what I want and my breadcrumbs displays it properly.

 

The second question I believe is because I don't have anything on my home page thus I have the messages that I do.

 

Still in the beginning stages of setting up my store…

Yes, you are correct.  Once you create at least one blog post, that message will disappear.
