I've been digging around in the code, and I can't figure it out.  I even looked at the source code for http://iusedtoberich.com, which replaced them with custom images.  I'm perplexed, because when I look at my own site, the headings aren't text, but they aren't images either.  When I pull them to the desktop, they save as "web clippings."

So let's say I want to change them to say "The Blog" and "The Store," how would I do that?

Thank you

Those two headlines are actually images.  They are named "news.gif" and "newproducts.gif".

If you create two new images and name them those filenames, you can simply upload them to your Market theme folder into the subfolder named "imgs".

How can I make those images clickable to open another site in a new window?

In your "href" tag, just enter something like:

target="new"

So, you would go from a link such as:

<a href="http://www.amazon.com/"> </a>

To something like:

<a href="http://www.amazon.com/" target="new"> </a>

How can I load the new images without re-loading the whole market theme?

Just FTP upload your new modified images (using the same file names is easiest) to your theme's "imgs" folder.

/wp-content/themes/mk3/imgs/

Make sure you follow the installation instructions in the "readme.html" file that is contained in your download package.  It sounds to me, like you have not performed all of the setup necessary.  Pay attention to step #5 in the instructions.
