Changing the H1 Text on Storefront Homepage

My homepage has text in the H1 Tags that it's pulling from somewhere that I don't know.  The text "Welcome to our Store!" and "New Products" are both pulling from some php code in the frontdoor.php template using an echo command.

How can I find where the php is pulling the actual text from so I can modify it.  Or is it better to just modify the frontdoor.php template?

Thanks

Jens

Hi Jens,

No, don't modify the frontdoor template….  There is a language file.

There is a file named "English.php" located in the "language" folder.    That's the one to edit.  In fact, that's where ALL the Theme's text comes from. (The text you don't enter yourself anyway)

You can also edit that file through the Wordpress theme editor tool.

That's brilliant.  Thanks much!
