If you're using Market Theme version 4 with the storefront page as your homepage — you may also desire to have a regular "Blog" area as well.

Here's how to create a "Bllog" page with a link in the navigational menu…

(These instructions assume you already have your homepage set as the "Storefront" homepage template as described in the readme.html file instructions (Step #7)  included in your download package.)

1.  Create a new page and name it "Blog" (or whatever you want the navigational link to say).

There is no need to enter a description for this page, just enter the page title and click save.

2.  In your Wordpress "Settings" area, click on the "Reading" link.   Make sure the "A Static Page" button is selected, and then set the second option "Posts Page" dropdown box to your newly created "Blog" page.

3.  Save the settings change.

Doing this will now make all of your posts that are not product posts, show up on that newly created "Blog" page.

How do you have your recent blog entries appear on your site (but exclude products – which of course are "blog" entries of a sort).

It all comes down to categorization. Blog entries under your main "Products" category (and sub-categories under Products) will show up in one area, while all blog entries NOT under the "Products" parent category, will show up in the other.

If you want to create a separate blog page like your subject title implies, simply create a new page (no content necessary), and then in your admin settings area under "Reading", you can select that new page from the dropdown box for "new posts" to show up on.
