Move headings around

I only have categories and sub categories so far.  I want to change the headings on my page.

I have a category called Natural Skins (replacement skins for drums and some stringed musical instruments.  The page displays correctly, but I want to move some things around.

Currently, I have this:

Subcategories:

———————————

No categories

No categories

No categories

Matching Results:  Natural Skins

——————————-

No items were found in this category.

theme category post not found

Instead, I would like this:

Natural Skins

———————————

No categories

No categories

No categories

Where can I comment out the Matching Results section and replace the title Subcategories: with the name of my category (Natural Skins)?

I do know HTML and CSS and can figure out syntax of PHP, I just don't know where things live.

Thank you!

All of the text lives in the language file. So for you (since you're an english speaking person), you'll open up the "English.php" file for editing. You can use the Wordpress Theme editor under the "Appearance" menu tab.

When editing the file, just do a search for "Matching Results:" and replace it with whatever you like. (or just change it to be empty)

No that's not exactly what I want.  I really want to know which PHP puts the comments on the screen.

The problem is that I don't want any of this to display:

Matching Results:  Natural Skins

——————————-

No items were found in this category.

theme category post not found

AND, I want "Natural Skins" (for this page, but other pages would have different names) to appear where "Subcategories:" currently displays.

I want to know where the code is so I can comment things out and put the title variable up higher on the page.

Thank you

Ok, I believe the "category.php" is the file you're looking for.

I'll give that a try.  Thank you very much!
