Grid view for categories & subcategories

I have been developing a site for a client using ShopperPress and it's not working well: http://www.westbaytrading.net/wordpress/ — I specifically need to find a wordpress theme or plugin that functions this way: home page shows the categories in grid view, click on a category takes you to a subcategory page also in grid view, showing sub-subcategories or products if there are no subcategories. To me it is an intuitive way to navigate a shopping site but I am having a hard time finding this.

My question is can this been done with MT? I'm not a programmer but I can tweak code as long as it's not too complex.

Yes in fact, that's exactly how the latest version of Market Theme operates.

In the download center is a BETA version of Market Theme 4.0. This improves over the previous version of Market with a category image thumbnail grid navigation system (as you describe above) and more intuitive layout.

You won't have to tweak any code, however you'll probably want to modify the stock colors a little bit. (stylesheet stuff)

This "Beta" version should turn into a full release in probably just a couple of weeks.
