Handling Tax

Can your system handle a tax such as European VAT?

Based in the UK we have to charge VAT to other UK buyers, but not to registered businesses in the EEC.

Outside the EEC, no VAT is payable.

Can the system be configured for this?

No, however there have been posts talking about that topic on this forum before.

I think that your Paypal account may be able to be setup with these types of additions. Not exactly sure becuase I haven't used them though.

You might try searching this forum for other conversations on the topic. You might come across some nuggets of wisdom.

In paypal you can set up Tax rules in your Profile (think you need at least a Premier account too).
