Inventory Management Question.

I have read through the forum and I know that there is no integrated Inventory Management.

For my inital use its not completely necessary, but it will be a little tricky. We will be selling one off items that I will only have one of each. Eventually we will be selling items where we have 4-6 and could sell out in days/hours of posting ads for them. It will be tricky to not "oversell" the items. If the items were auto listed as "sold out" once the stock had been sold off that would be VERY helpful to me, as well as others Im sure.

So, if not now, are there plans to incorporate this in the near future? Would you be able to provide an approximate timeframe if the answer is yes.

Thank you for the help

-Tyler.

Thanks for your post.  I understand your need, and it does have a lot of merit.

Right now we've got a pretty good list of updates in the works, but inventory management hasn't been addressed just yet.  So, unfortunately I don't have an eta on when it might be available.  If I were to estimate, I'd say maybe 6 or 7 months.  (just a guess right now)

As far as the demo not letting you log in — it's fixed now so go ahead and try it again.

Some joker logged in as "demo" and changed the password.

Talking about inventory management:

I want to setup a T-shirt store.

Each design come with let's say 4 sizes and 4 colors.

Will I have the ability to indicate an initial quantity for each size/color ?

Will this quantity decrease automatically at every sale ?

Will sales stop when an item have a quantity of zero ?

Thanks

Good question, but no.  The inventory control ability doesn't cover the options of a product — only to the product level.

To control quantities like that, you'd have to set your shirts up as separate products for each option type.

So has any other inventory updates been updated since this post.  I also have a t-shirt shop I want to set up.  Would I have to create a product for each size to control inventory by size?

Thanks

No, inventory control is still only at the product level — not at the options level.

The main sales website needs to be updated.

If you log into the online demo, you can try out the inventory stuff.
