Just one product - is Market theme overkill?

I am new to all this. Don't know any coding etc.

Have a word press site. (just two pages as being built.) I have just the one product. Four different colours. All I want is a website explaining the product, where it came from, ability to put into a couple of videos and a shopping cart. Ie, the customer would click on a photo/description of the product they want to add to their shopping cart. May also want another page or two for testimonials etc later.

I don't have different product categories at this stage.

My current wordpress site has the "comments" section below each page. I am a newbie and don't know how to get rid of this so you may gather this is my first wordpress site.

Is Market theme for me? Just want to keep it all very simple for myself and the potential customer. An Australian site so want Australian dollars. Shipping would be a base price plus a little extra for multiple buys. Once over a certain amount, want to give a small bonus gift.

Can I put all this together easily using market theme or am I better off outsourcing all of this?

Told you I was new to all this Embarassed

Look forward to your help.

Market Theme would probably work very well for that. You wouldn't need to outsource anything.

Since you don't have multiple products (besides different colors), you won't be using multiple categories, so there are a few features you won't use — but that's not really a problem. You may just need to change some of the website text like "New Products:", but that's easily done through the language file. (English.php)

Outsourcing would cost you more than the theme for certain, and would really just be doing things which would easily be done through Market Theme anyway.

I'd say, give it a try. If you're not happy with it, just take us up on our money back guarantee.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for such a quick reply. Proves your support is as good as you say. Okay, will give it a go. But already you are scaring me a little with the techy stuff such as language files and english.php Cry I am capable of doing the required math to post this reply but thats my limit!

As long as you can provide support on any coding stuff I may need via the forum I am sure we can work it all out. The last thing I want to do is claim refunds.

Look forward to finally getting my very simple website up and running.

It's pretty easy to setup, so as long as you can follow the step-by-step instructions in the "readme.html" file, you shouldn't have a problem.

As far as the language file, it just sounds scary because you haven't looked at it. It's not complicated though.

The forums here are filled with a wealth of information, and most struggles have already been solved and written about here.

Just search or post if you have any issues.
