Hi,

I put on a post two days ago re selling both tangible and intangible goods.

Sorry to hassle you - I know you're probably v busy, but I am keen to buy Market theme and get started. I need a clear answer to this question before I can. (Can you sell both tangible and intangible goods on the same website with Market theme?)

Thanks in advance

Ok, thanks for getting back to me.

That's a real shame Market theme doesn't allow that, I was so keen to use it - do you think it might be something you'd consider offering in the future?

cheers

Possibly...

Can you describe your "ideal" setup?  How would you offer both digital and physical goods?  How would checkout be handled?  How would delivery be handled?  What would the customer experience in the process?

If I can wrap my brain around the scenario, it may help.

Ok... I'm a total newbie at this (learning as fast as I can!!!), so sorry if I miss the obvious, but here's what I had in mind:

The physical goods would be in one category, and the digital (pdf downloads) in another. Ideally the customer would be able to add both types of product to the same cart (downloads would have zero shipping), and pay as they would for a single type of goods, then they'd be directed back to a page after payment where all the relevant links would be displayed for them to download from.

Physical products would just be shipped as usual, and customer would receive email confirmation as usual (of both types of product).

Alternatively the email confirmation could contain the links, but would this then allow for the links to expire after a certain amount of time?

Is this the kind of info you meant?

Cheers

Since you haven't responded, guess you can't help me...

Sorry...  When I said "figure a way to move forward", I meant we'd talk about how we could offer something like that in the future, as new versions are released.  Not immediately.
