Love it however with paypal buy it now buttons I have a problem with one of a kinds.

Where there is only one item, paypal will only allow the current shopper to buy one.

But the next shopper still can purchase it even if the one item had already been sold.

This results in refunds and not very good buyer experiance

I assume as this basically just uses paypal buttons, this would still be a problem?

There is basically no way to have sold show up right? On items that are no longer available.

You can create a category called "closed" or similar and mark items as "closed" after they have sold out, thus removing the buy now button. It just takes adding an extra bit of code to the single.php file which I'll get around to posting in the How-To section for registered theme owners this weekend.

Hi,

I am interesting in buying the developers license as this cart system looks great.  I am also interested in One-Time sales.  Did you ever get that how-to guide for it finished?

Also, does that mean that after a product is sold it will automatically be placed into a "sold out" category? or do I have to manually change the product's category each time a sale is completed?

Thanks,

Rey

Hi Rey,

The Market Admin switched back in September to yours truly, and I hadn't been following this post.

For the time being, you'll have to go back in manaully to change it.  (If you put the price as zero "0" or blank, it'll automatically say "Sold Out")

It seems that a recurring theme has come about for needing the ability to offer one of a kind product sales.

I'll run it by our developers and see if I can have it added to our development list.

Thanks for the input.

Has this been fixed yet? I'm interested in buying a dev license for this theme but since I sell collectibles almost every item is a 1 of a kind item.

I would need this to be working too or a solution to solve this. I have one of a kind items and I'm looking to get this script.

Any idea about this?

Yes, inventory control for limited items is not part of the standard functionality.

Just set your inventory number, and each one sold will decrease it until zero.  Then, it will display an out of stock message.
