I was just going through the demo looking at how shipping values are set up, and I have a question about calculating the shipping totals for items that have different shipping prices.
ProductA is set up for a quantity discount $3.50 for first & $1.00 ea. additional
ProductB is set up for a quantity discount $2.75 for first & $.10 ea. additonal
If a customer orders 2 of ProductA, the shipping is $4.50.
Then the add 5 of ProductB, which comes to $3.05
Is there anyway for the highest first shipping amount to be use ($3.50) and then for the other items ordered, it would automatically use the discounted quantity rate instead of using the inital shipping cost ($2.75)?
Basically I want to charge the initial shipping on the highest amount first and then other items get the discounted shipping, but my items have different shipping rates and discounts. Is this possible?
Yes, that's correct. We're working on a modification to that in the future so that it operates as you suggest. It's just not completed just yet.
In addition, there are 2 other shipping modifications that can be done.

Any idea when the mod will be ready to go active? My shipping will really be messed up unless I do try the flat rate shipping, in which case there's still a chance that there won't be enough shipping charged…
