Size of store?

I see that you advertise this as a solution for small to medium size businesses.  I wonder if you can give some guidance on what size storefront currently works best with Market Theme.  Is the limitation the number of products, number of photos or something else?Does the program slow down when too many products are listed.  I am trying to decide if I can use Market Theme given my current inventory.  Thanks!

There's not a limitation in the number of products.

As far as number of photos, the only "limitation" is that you can only show 4 product photos in the default setup. (There is a mod in the support forums where you can add additional images if you desire, but 4 per product is a lot to begin with.)

Mostly, we advertise that it's a good solution for small to medium businesses, because it doesn't take a whole lot of technical knowledge to setup and operate. Also, Market doesn't get into a lot of advanced features, that large businesses may desire, such as user account account areas for buyers, or real-time UPS shipping integration, or other big business needs like that.

The most advanced feature that Market has, is the ability to use inventory tracking and set inventory levels so that when an item is sold out — it becomes disabled on the website, to prevent overselling. (It's an optional feature that doesn't need to be used.)

Market does not slow down when too many products are listed. If you have a good web host, there shouldn't be any issue with speed.

Basically, Market is designed for two types of people/businesses.

1. Those who are beginning and just want to get an online store setup that looks nice, works well, and isn't very technically difficult.

2. Those who are active business owners of multiple businesses/websites. Someone who wants a standard online store that can be setup very fast, so that they can move onto the next project.

I hope this helps.
