But before i start i need to know if the Theme supports Indian Rupees (INR) as a currency and also if it can be intergrated to accept payments which will be processed by a payment gateway called CCAvenue (www.ccavenue.com)

Currently, Market Theme supports the Paypal currencies listed here:
https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=developer/e_howto_api_nvp_currency_codes
If you use Authorize.net, then I suppose you can use any currency that they support.
As far as integration into ccavenue.com, you'd have to add that integration yourself, as it's not currently part of Market Theme.
The Market Theme shopping cart is coded using PHP, so it could certainly be done.
