Volume Discounts and Source Codes

Can the platform handle volume discounts where for example if your cart has 5 or more of a product type the price is lower per unit?

Can the system handle source codes which give a discount?

Thanks,

Mark

Those features aren't built-in — however it's all done in PHP code, so you can modify it to pretty much anything you want. As long as you can structure the logic of the code, a coder can make it happen.

Built-in, there is a volume discount for shipping — but not the product price itself.

Not including the ability to modify the price per unit in the case of bundles of products is a bad news for me, because I have no experience in PHP coding. Is it possible to include a field for discount after a determined number of purchased items or is it possible to handle it with the integration of e-Junkie?

Your response will help me decide the download of Market Theme.

Thanks,

A discount field is certainly possible, however I don't have the code to provide for it.

Anyone with basic PHP coding abilities shouldn't have trouble doing it. It would simply be adding a form field to the product details page, adding another one to the backend admin page, and then modifying the shopping cart file "cart.php" to perform the discount. Not too difficult, but you've got to know some code — or have an outsourced guy.

If that is the case,  Can you suggest where we might get the php code?

You'd probably have to hire a freelance coder to do it for you.
