Category images showing up even though boxes deselected

I don't understand why the category images (image coming soon!) show up when clicking on view all products. None of the boxes to "show to storefront" are selected, and I activated the changes several times. Any thoughts why it doesn't want to work?

Well, basically because that link function is to show all productcs.  If it's a product, it will show up.  (Even if there is no image currently associated with that product.)

The "show on storefront" boxes are so you can control whether or not a particular Category thumbnail image shows on the front page or not.
