Go to your "Pages" menu tab.

Click on "Quick Edit" under the page name "About us", and you'll probably see the sort order set to zero (0).

This "Sort order" value on the pages, is exactly what it says. It starts with zero and goes up.

So, you'll want to change the value of "About us" and "Contact Information" to values higher than zero.

I usually go by 5's (ie. 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, etc.) so that I can go back later and put one in between if I need to.

As far as your second question, I think you may have not setup your category structure completely.

I think you need to re-read step #5 in the "readme.html" file of your download package. You need to create a main "Products" category, and then have your subcategories like "Jewelry" under that parent category.
