Under the "Market Theme" menu tab in your Wordpress dashboard area, there's a menu link saying "category images".  In there, you can set category images to show up like that site.

I'm sorry, I must have worded my question wrong.  I meant, not adding images for the category products.  I meant on the left side column where the list of products are, the main headers look like they are buttons.

http://giftexpressionsonline.com/  Such as Visit Our Blog,  Gift Baskets, etc.

I'd like to make my main headers have a distinct background like this site and don't know how or where to change that.

thanks!

That's just done by altering the values of the stylesheet.

For example, the custom you're using is "surfnturf", so you can alter the style values in the "mkt_style.css" that's located in the folder:

wp-content/themes/mk4/custom-styles/surfnturf/

If you're not quite sure how to locate the correct values, I HIGHLY recommend the free plugin for the Firefox browser that's called "Firebug".  It's very easy, because you simply right click on an area of a webpage, and it will tell you the file that controls that value, along with the style name and line number.

Other than that, you'd have to find a coder / web designer to guide you.

Fantastic.  Just downloaded that and can find all sorts of coding.

Just hope I don't ruin my site now that I can start changing some things.

One thing the site I like uses a text widget at the top of her home page above the featured products.  My theme only shows

a side bar widget.  How do I insert widget areas of my site?

thanks so much for the great advice!

I don't have the exact code to give you (as it's a customization), but you'd have to insert it into the "frontdoor.php" file above the featured categories section.
