I am trying to design our website to match another in our company and would like the wrap to show a different colour ontop of the background. I can't seem to find any instructions to do this. I am very new to all this and have found your Theme fantastic and easy to use but can't quite seem to be able to get over this hurdle! My site is http://www.mylittlecleaningpro…..ucts.co.uk and I wish to set it up like http://www.mylittlecleaningcompany.co.uk.

Thanks for your help,

Jamie

Most of the Market Theme styles are a combination of background images, and stylesheet colors.

My recommendation, would be to start out by installing the free Firefox plugin "Firebug".  (do a google search)

It makes testing, editing, and experimenting of stylesheets easy and quick.  It's a must have tool for website stylesheet color design.

Simply right click on an area of a website, select "Inspect Element", and it'll show you the stylesheet values for it.

Just that alone will help you a great deal.

One more thing…

If you use a Market Theme "custom style", then the stylesheet files you'll want to edit are:

1.  custom-style-base.css   (located in the base Market Theme folder)

2.  mkt_style.css   (located in the appropriate named custom style that you're using, that's located in the  "custom-styles" folder of the Market Theme files.)

I have looked at this but don't wish to move over to Firefox. I am editing a custom style css and have edited a fair bit but can't seem to win on this matter. Has this post been answered before? Or is there any help websites that you can recommend? Thanks for the quick reply

You don't have to "move" over to Firefox.  You can have mutliple browsers installed.  It doesn't have to be your main one.

Most web developers have multiple browsers installed for testing purposes, so they can ensure their work looks well on all.

To change the background color, the change will be something like this:

body {
     background-color:#b0c4de;
}
