By the way...

On http://woodstabilizer.com/ when I click on the Free Shipping graphic in the left margin, I get taken to a blank page.

Thought you'd want to know.

A really nice execution of the market theme.

I notice that your response time between pages is VERY good.   And you have some large images. Did you ever have issues with response time?

I'm struggling with the response time after a click on our site - a 7-12sec response.   I installed the cache plugin but I don't think it's making any significant difference.  I contacted our ISP asking about the server that our account is on -- ie;  a 'shared' server -- the response I got back from them was that they didn't think the response was slow..??..   A 7-12 sec response is NORMAL??

I haven't completely finished configuring...  not sure how to proceed... very discouraged.

7-12 seconds response time is pretty slow.

I have shared hosting accounts, and they are not anywhere near that.

What cache plugin are you using?

Is it activated and enabled?

I've used "WP super cache" on other websites and it works VERY well. However, if you were to change any info in your store, you would need to remember to delete the cache files, so it can "reload" the new information into it's memory.

I just did a 'Test Cache'  and got this message back... does this mean the plugin is NOT "enabled" or working --??--

The pages do not match! Timestamps differ or were not found!

In the left margin under "Settings", there should be a new link that says "WP Super Cache".

Click that link.

The first option will say "cache on" or "cache off".

A couple of buttons down, there's one that says "Delete Cache". Do that one after you make any changes to your existing pages or products.

(If you Add a brand new product listing, then you don't have to worry about deleting the cache, as it will automatically add a new entry for all new pages. It's the just modifications to the existing ones you need to clear.)

OK -- the cache is set to 'on'   --  I'll try the "Delete Cache" feature and see if that makes any difference.

Can you tell me what this means...

The pages do not match! Timestamps differ or were not found!

Things you can do:

  1. Load
your homepage in a logged out browser, check the timestamp at the end
of the html source. Load the page again and compare the timestamp.
Caching is working if the timestamps match.

How do I load my page in a "logged out browser" -- ?? --  not sure what that means ..??..

Never seen that before.

Just log out, and then log back in and try whatever you were doing again.

Hmmnn... getting the same message...  the links they provide for the page comparison seems to OK ... so I don't understand the msg about the pages not matching. ???

Cache Tester

Test your cached website by clicking the test button below.

Fetching http://www.mckinneypens.com/mc.....pens-shop/ to prime cache: OK

Fetching first copy of http://www.mckinneypens.com/mc.....pens-shop/: OK (1.html)

Fetching second copy of http://www.mckinneypens.com/mc.....pens-shop/: OK (2.html)

The pages do not match! Timestamps differ or were not found!

Things you can do:

  1. Load
your homepage in a logged out browser, check the timestamp at the end
of the html source. Load the page again and compare the timestamp.
Caching is working if the timestamps match.
  2. Enable logging on the Debug page here. That should help you track down the problem.
  3. You
should check Page 1 and Page 2 above for errors. Your local server
configuration may not allow your website to access itself.

Try clicking on the "Delete" button to refresh your cache files.

Maybe try deleting the cache plugin, and reinstalling it.
