Ok, right now in the download center is Market version 4.2 BETA.

This version contains the ability to connect with Authorize.Net in your choice of 3 different modes.  (SIM, DPM, and AIM)

Also included in this version is the ability to accept "non-paid" orders for those store owners who desire to process orders manually offline.

This download package is the third link down in the left column.  The green box currently still links to version 4.1 because this release is still considered a BETA version.

The reason we've labled this a BETA version, is because we have a few more tweaks coming, but didn't want to delay any longer.

Everything seems to test out ok, but we're hoping to do a followup modification shortly that we'll label the full release.

With this new plugin, do you have the ability to setup recurring payments (like a subscription) through authrorize.net CIM?  I'm interested in purchasing but I need to know if this will work.

Also, if I have a basic wordpress theme, can I integrate your market plugin to work with my current theme?

Thanks in advance.

To answer your second question first — no, not really. Market is actually a fully functional self-contained Wordpress theme. It's not a plugin, although it has parts that operate like a plugin would.

As far as setting up recurring payments, it doesn't have that ability to create recurring payments via CIM.

Great to see that you have added the ability to run credit cards manually.  I have been looking for that option and was unable to find that it was available when reading about your theme.  Does Market actually allow the customer to submit credit card information securely that I can acess to run the card manually?

Yes, Market now allows for 3 different Authorize.net connection methods. (SIM, DPM, and AIM)

If you were going to run the card manually offline, in order to submit card numbers to you securely — you'd have to get your website setup with SSL capability. (https://)

Then, you'd simply have to change the link to the "offline" orderform from "http://" to "https://".

Hello,

I am working with a group who really likes your theme for our new website that I will help build.  One of our merchant account reps suggested to us that we make sure the shopping cart is customizable and has asci language ability.  Is this something markettheme offers?  Thank you for your assistance.  We will likely purchase the developer version if your template meets our needs…  The support is most important, too.  :-) API National is the format the merchant processor requires.  Is this supported, too?  Thanks!

Market is certainly customizable. As far as ASCII language ability, to be honest I'm not sure what that would entail. I know ascii codes, but haven't heard of ascii language. If your question is whether strings of ascii characters can be used in place of actual wording, then the answer is yet. If it's something else, I'm not sue how to answer.

As far as API Naational, that is not one of the currenly built-in gateway formats. However, integration is certainly possible. Market is coded in PHP and so all you'll have to do is prepare the variable names and populate them to the correct format.

Market Admin:

I'm already using the 4.1 version for my store and I'm curious to know what could/would happen if I upgrade to 4.2… It seems logical that I'll lose my existing market theme settings, could lose the e-junkie code that I modified in the existing single.php page, and the deletion of the Market Theme footer in the existing footer.php page.

Also, is the ability to take non-paid orders linked to the authorize.net additions, or is that a separate addition?  Please let me know.

FYI: I'd like to see a future release that allows the full use of the e-junkie shopping cart, instead of the current single buy and Paypal-only options. Its just too much effort to have to copy and paste the e-junkie code into every new product listing, and there's no existing easy means to to place the e-junkie buy and shopping cart buttons where the MKT Theme Buy button is located in the listing. If you can get those features into Mkt theme, I and the other e-junkie folks will be highly appreciative, as everything else is good about the theme.

Thanks,

Eric

You won't lose any settings, but any pages that you've modified the code on would be lost, and would require re-working again. (including the e-junkie stuff and your footer code)

However, an included file "version.txt" documents the files changed, so you can generally evaluate if a file needs modifying.

Personally, if you're going to upgrade — I'd suggest holding off just a little longer, as the 4.2 BETA2 version is going to be changed to the 4.2 full release here in just a week or so. You might as well hold off and get the full version.

As far as the future goes in terms of digital products — we're going to be working on a system that allows for Market Theme to take care of all of it, so e-junkie will no longer be used.

Thanks for your input Eric.
