OfflineI've entered all of my products and now I need to be able to link up with PayPal. However, I need to put weights in for each of the products. Where and how do I do this for each of the Posts that represent a product entry? Also, the only thing that I need to enter for PayPal to be integrated with Market Theme is the email address for the PayPal account, correct?
I'm using the Web Payments Standard package for PayPal. Is this compatible with Market Theme? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as this is the last piece to be completed so that the website can go live. The domain name is currently being transferred, so it's important that I get this finished this week.
The only thing you need to do to integrate with Paypal is enter your Paypal email in the Market Theme settings area.
I don't think the package will matter. You're just going to be using the email payments funtionality anyway.
As far as shipping weights go, Market theme actually isn't setup to work by weight. Its shipping setup is based on specific product shipping amounts.
There are other shipping modifications that can be done if you don't want to use that method.
Here are two that I know of:

OfflineRegarding shipping setup, I have 2 options, in Market, I can enter the number of units and the associated cost based upon either Standard/Priority/International or I can leave the Base Shipping Cost and Shipping Cost for Each Additional Unit blank for each item and let PayPal handle it either by number of units or by dollar amounts of the order. Am I understanding all of this correctly now?
I doubt that I'd need the other shipping modifications, but I do appreciate the options!

OfflineI'm having a hard time working with my client that is accustomed to shipping all of their products by weight. She sells pralines and has several variations of this product. Her current website supports shipping by weight and even links to her UPS account. Is there really no other option for her to incorporate the weight for each product using the Market Theme? The more she explains the shipping process to me, the more it makes sense to simplify the process by entering weight for each product.
She'd like a $5.00 handling fee added to shipping price per order and also a $1.00 per item if there are 5 or more items. She'd like to have a Gift message somewhere on the order form. How can I make this happen with Market Theme?
She's looked at all 3 options (USPS, Fed-Ex, and UPS) and there is not a pricing chart based upon weight. Everything is based upon weight and distance shipped or zoned. The prices vary a great deal. So, she needs to ship by actual weight instead of per item. When she enters the same information for all 3 types of shippers, there was a difference in price of up to $5.00 per item.
Please HELP! This website's domain name is currently being transferred and will be live any day now, and the shipping piece is the last piece that needs to be completed. All suggestions are appreciated. I definitely need all options available.
The only other thing I could suggest, is getting a PHP coder to work that type of functionality into it.
On of the existing shipping fields could be utilized for weight, but they would need to create a "lookup" table to find shipping charges based on weight.
We just currently don't have that feature to offer you.
Hello,
It's been a year now since this thread has had an upate. My client's site http://thefrolickinggoat.com has been quiet but now they are 'back' and want to know with the newer theme versions if they can configure the site for weight base shipping / Paypal.
Thanks.
