Most things with the demo work fine, but there are a few restrictions.

Some of the demo limitations are:

1. You can't edit the theme files
2. You can't change the shopping cart method to "affiliate method" or "no checkout method"
3. You can't add more users
4. The demo resets itself every couple of hours
5. You can't add plugins

Other than these, it's mostly the same.
