I was researching network solutions for web hosting and I notice a wordpress site is around $4 /month while "eCommerce" is more. Are there issues with utilizing wordpress as a commerce site where the web hosting rates change? I'm not limiting to that host as my only option, just trying to price things out.

With regards to Market Theme, it seems as though the payment process is secure on its own using the paypal or google checkout options, so it is safe to say I don't have to worry about that level of security on a word press commerce site also?

This is all new to me so I'm trying to figure it out. I don't want to pay for "commerce" hosting if I can just do wordpress as a commerce site. I also want to be sure that user's payment info/identity is not a risk utilizing this theme.

First off, I'm not sure that you'd need the "ecommerce" hosting package. All you really need is a basic linux hosting account that'll run wordpress. There shouldn't be any limiting issues, however it really depends on the hosting company itself, as they'll decide what features to "hold back" for the "ecommerce" package.

As far as your second question, since you're using Paypal or Google checkout, you won't have to worry about security, as no customer payment information is being collected or stored by Market Theme. All of that goes through the payment processor itself (eg. Paypal), which is already using their own SSL security.
