I see in your recent posts that it looks like you do now offer auth.net gateway compatibility.  How would I go about disabling PayPal and integrating auth.net?  would I also need to get a shopping cart to connect to auth.net along with an SSL or do you know if their secure checkout page would work with the shopping cart you have setup until the point of checkout when you are transferred to PayPal currently?  I would appreciate if you could give me the steps to completing that as I work for a payment processor who uses auth.net so it is mandatory that I use them as a gateway not paypal.

On a side note, is it possible to have a slideshow of pictures instead of the banner on the front page?  What about adding a newsletter signup and social media buttons?  Thanks!

To disable Paypal and enable Authorize.net — just click a couple of checkboxes in the Market Theme settings area. Very easy.

As far as connecting to Auth.net — there are 3 connection methods. 2 of which are non-SSL (DPM & SIM), and 1 SSL method (AIM). Choose whichever method you desire. (They are all secure.)

DPM — orderform hosted at your site. Data is transferred securely to Auth.net for processing.
SIM — orderform hosted at the Auth.net site.
AIM — orderform and processing is hosted entirely at your site. (requires you to have an SSL cert)

It's very easy to setup. Just put fill in your connection login ID and transaction key into the Market Theme settings area.

Market Theme is pretty customizable in most aspects. It's written in PHP, so you're not too limited in what you can do. You could integrate a slideshow rather than a banner, but it would be custom — so I don't really have the code for you. Same with the media buttons, however those could probably just be added through your "widget" area pretty easily without any code modifications.

We sell gift baskets and currently have a shopping card with an offline processing feature. We process everything thru Quickbooks on our end manually. I dont want PayPal, or Google, and don't have authorize.net as an option. Is there a way that I can turn those off, but still obtain all the relevant sale/credit card information?  I have a "shared" secure certificate (shared on the web host), so that shouldn't be an issue.

The current gateways available are paypal, google checkout, Authorize.net, and Offline processing.

You can use offline processing method for orders where you will gather payment information from the customer in a different manner.

The Market Theme code is written in PHP programming language, so it is possible to integrate other gateways by someone who knows how to write code.

Thanks for the help. When you say that we would need to "gather payment information from the customer in a different manner" (for offline processing) — am I correct, then, that there's no "secure" forms that could be used for this, right?

There is just a simple form. If you have SSL on your site, it can be made secure very easily.

You could also modify it to accept credit card information which you would take and manually run if you desired. Just a little PHP and HTML coding would do it.

Greetings!

I'm very interested in getting this theme for an upcoming project. And I have two important questions:

1. Please confirm that Authorize.net is now a supported payment gateway. I believe it is.

2. Is MarketTheme compatible with the latest release of WP: 3.2.1

I've been working with ShopperPress over the past 6 months, and its v6.0 is not compatible beyond 3.0.5 – which is a bummer. But I'm hoping it's not serious for the clients sake.

I look forward to your reply.

Cool

#1. Yes, Market Theme supports 3 connection methods of Authorize.net. AIM, SIM, and DPM.

#2. Yes, Market Theme is compatible with WP 3.2.1.

I hope this helps.
